Project SOY Plus Winners Announced

Project SOY Plus is an annual contest for University of Guelph students to develop creative products within the Agri-science industry. This year, students from various disciplines and academic levels were encouraged to create innovative projects that incorporated plant-based species. Food from Thought was honoured to be part of the panel of judges for this year’s inspiring submissions. This year the diploma category winner was Riley Sharp and her B-GON Biodegradable Plastic Mulch, the undergraduate winner was Domenique Mastronardi’s Happy Waffle, a plant based toaster waffle, and from the graduate category the winner was Anupjot Brar, Aryana Rabii, Benjamin McLeod, Gabriel Laplante, Harshina Brijlall, Jacob Insley, Ryan Cranwill, Schnell D’Souza, Sonja Andrekovic, Stephanie Lim and Trung Hoang’s Embrace Biopad, a biodegradable menstrual pad.
