Sujeevan Ratnasingham is Associate Director (Informatics) of the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics, and the Chief Architect of the BOLD ( and mBRAVE ( platforms. His work focuses on the application of machine learning and high-performance computing approaches towards high-volume DNA sequence and biodiversity data analysis. Ratnasingham is also the founder of LifeScanner (, a conservation technology initiative that provides DNA based species identification tools to citizen scientists, schools and NGOs.
