Food from Thought Research Assistantships
Food from Thought, in partnership with the Arrell Food Institute, welcomes up to 20 Research Assistants per academic year with a stipend of $17,500. In compliment to their research, these students work with community partners on solutions to problems related to big data, food waste and climate change through a series of workshops, collaborations and interdisciplinary team projects.
Food from Thought provides travel bursaries for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows four times per year to present their research at conferences and promote knowledge mobilization and partnerships for the Food from Thought program.
Applicants must be either a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow working directly on a Food from Thought-funded research project, a Food from Thought Research Assistant, or an Arrell Scholar. Successful recipients must establish relevance to Food from Thought research and objectives in their application.
Upcoming Conference Bursary deadlines:
- September 17, 2018
- December 15, 2018
Graduate students or postdoctoral fellows working on Food from Thought research who are planning to present their research at a conference in the coming months should fill out a Conference Bursary application form* and forward their signed and completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
